In August 2000 Royce Gracie, The Ultimate Fighting Champion, made the first of many trips to the UK. Simon attended his seminar and it very quickly became clear that along with many other martial artists, Simon's ground fighting skills needed honing to become fully rounded as a martial artist. Soon after this Simon was invited to tour Japan with Royce for two weeks, traveling with Royce on his seminar circuit. Simon was also invited to Japan to watch Royce fight at Pride.
Simon then trained with Roger Gracie and world class Black Belts at his academy 2-3 times a week and in 2010 was given his black belt by Roger Gracie. Currently he is now a three stripe black belt.
Simon is always available for private classes in both styles and can also cover personal safety, anti mugging for adults and anti bullying for children.
Simon also runs children’s classes on Wandsworth Common during term time. Please see
Please feel free to contact Simon regarding Seminars as he currently teaches in many different countries, but is always very keen to work with new training groups.
